چکیده
Abstract Sclerotinia stem rot caused by sclerotiorum is one of the most important diseases oilseed rape in world. Because absence resistant varieties and disadvantages chemical control, application antifungal microbes has become an eco-friendly effective measure to control this disease. In study, Bacillus subtilis strain RSS-1, isolated from soil samples, was identified based on morphological, physiological biochemical tests, DNA gyrase subunit A ( gyrA ), gyrB , DNA-directed RNA polymerase beta rpoB ) rpoC gene sequence analysis. It significantly inhibited mycelial growth sclerotial production S. vitro . greenhouse experiments, all three tested concentrations (10 6 10 7 8 cfu mL −1 cell fermentation broth culture filtrate reduced severity sclerotinia P < 0.05). RSS-1 more at reducing disease when applied 24 h before inoculation with than post inoculation, suggesting that should be as a prophylactic rather curative biological agent. Colonization tests indicated population density rapeseed leaves decreased 0.05) over days. However, could stably colonize rhizospheric 30 Challenge showed activities polygalacturonase cellulase accumulation oxalic acid during infection. These results suggest potential agent for controlling rape.

AIMS To establish the modes of action of the antagonistic fungal strain Clonostachys rosea BAFC3874 isolated from suppressive soils against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and to determine its potential as a biocontrol agent. METHODS AND RESULTS The antagonistic activity of C. rosea BAFC3874 was determined in vitro by dual cultures. The strain effectively antagonized S. sclerotiorum in pot-grown let...

Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain NJZJSB3 has shown antagonism of several phytopathogens in vitro, especially Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. Both the broth culture and cell suspension of strain NJZJSB3 could completely protect the detached leaves of canola (Brassica napus) from S. sclerotiorum infection. In pot experiments, the application of strain NJZJSB3 cell suspension (10(8) CFU/ml) decreased t...

A study was executed in a direction to attenuate Sclerotinia stalk rot (SSR) disease through biocontrol agent and also to enhance crop productivity. Culture filtrate of bacterial strain YSPMK11 inhibited growth of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in vitro which also exhibited higher plant growth promoting attributes. Interaction studies revealed maximum (81.50%) growth inhibition at 35 °C and pH 7.0 af...
متن کاملApplication of Hyperspectral Imaging to Detect Sclerotinia sclerotiorum on Oilseed Rape Stems
Hyperspectral imaging covering the spectral range of 384-1034 nm combined with chemometric methods was used to detect Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (SS) on oilseed rape stems by two sample sets (60 healthy and 60 infected stems for each set). Second derivative spectra and PCA loadings were used to select the optimal wavelengths. Discriminant models were built and compared to detect SS on oilseed rap...
متن کاملEngineering Sclerotinia Sclerotiorum Resistance in Oilseed Crops
The fungal pathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary is worldwide in distribution and pathogenic to more than 400 plant species. This disease causes significant yield losses of various important crops including sunflower, canola, and soybean. Applying fungicides and crop rotation are currently the major methods of controlling this disease. However, fungicide chemicals are expensive, not ...
